I really enjoyed my days in the hotel and Cowork space. It doesn't mind if you are travelling alone there are plenty of activities to do and a big community. I really liked the salsa and bachata free lessons in the hotel!

The breakfast in the buffet was really good and with many options, also with local products! I can't wait to be back!

Coliving and Surfing is an amazing coworking space with a big and beautiful shared kitchen and outdoor space. Ari, Ricky and Diego put all their heart and soul into this place to make it a second home ❤️. Great activities and a friendly and inspiring community. I was here for a month, had a great time and highly recommend it to everyone. See you soon!

I flew across the world for this coliving space (literally from Patagonia lol) and while several things were great, I have to say I was overall pretty disappointed. Wasn't going to leave a bad review because the staff were very kind, but the company policies surrounding refunds were obnoxious so I'm just going to be an honest reviewer. I'll also add that the nomads I met here (who were amazing btw!) shared my complaints but are just too nice to leave an honest review since the staff were nice.

I'll start with the pro's - the kitchen is absolutely beautiful (and stays clean! Kinda rare for a shared space) and had everything I needed, the cowork is open 24/7 and nice (although extremely silent which is great for some, but not for me), and all the staff members I interacted (via WhatsApp too) with were very kind and friendly.

The con's - this is not a Coliving space, and it feels like false advertising for them to call it one. You're renting a hotel room at a very high price with shared kitchen/cowork. I was willing to pay the higher price because I thought there'd be regular comingling events, but the whatsapp group was totally dead the first week I was in town (thankfully some of the residents got it up and active the last week but this is of no credit at all to Coliving and Surfing). There are a few events, 90% yoga based, so if you aren't into yoga you're mostly out of luck. Also they aren't really "included" like the advertising says, it's "donation-based", so you could go for "free" but you'd be a jerk for not leaving a tip.

There's also a lot of little annoying rules I felt were unnecessary for the price - kitchen closes at 10pm (which is annoying if you're working from a US time zone), no guests allowed, pool closes at 6pm or something like that, and while it's technically a hotel you don't get any room cleanings unless you pay 35 euros. The room also is a bit old, and didn't include a desk like the picture on the website. I asked about the surf discounts advertised and the front desk staff had no idea what I was talking about. There are also like 150+ other people in the hotel, 95% are not nomads / coliving people, so you definitely feel like you're in a hotel and not a coliving. Lastly the WiFi didn't work for 2-3 days at the end of my stay which made me use my entire international data package since my phone could only connect from the lobby / cowork and not my room.

I realized many of these issues when I arrived and politely asked the staff about even a partial refund for the last 3 days of my 15 day stay so I could spend my time elsewhere. Despite the advance warning, they refused to do even a partial refund but did offer a voucher. I didn't want to stay again, so I asked if I could give the voucher to someone else which I assumed the answer would be yes to, and they even refused that lol... I was on the fence about 2-3 stars but this put it as a solid 2 for me.

Really grateful I still had an amazing time on the island but honestly none of it was thanks to Coliving and Surfing. I heard from others on the island that this place used to be absolutely awesome - hope it gets back to that :)
